The course is designed to give you a good overview and practical experience of all the different areas within the Hair & Beauty profession. We have a specially equipped hair and beauty training salon and a nail bar on site, where you can learn and practice your skills. Our small classes give more 1-1 attention and an outstanding learning environment to reach your full potential and bring the best out of each individual learner.
The Hairdressing and Beauty curriculum will include units such as creating a hair and beauty image using colour. Health and safety in a salon. Working in the hair and beauty Sector. Shampoo and condition hair. Blow-drying hair. Plaiting and hair-up. Temporary colour. Hand and nail Care. Nail art. Skin care. Make-up application. Customer service skills, as well as how to create and present a professional image in a salon.

- VTCT Level 1 Award in Hair and Beauty Skills
- VTCT Level 1 Extended Award in Hair and Beauty Skills
- VTCT Level 1 Certificate in Hair and Beauty Skills

I love my role as a hairdresser teacher and have trained, assessed, and taught students throughout my career. I feel very privileged to teach at the Junction 16 Hair and Beauty Training salon and get enormous satisfaction from watching the students develop the skills they will need to become successful hair stylists in the future.
