Course Description
N-able is a therapeutic learning provision designed for students who are unable to manage in mainstream education or who may benefit from additional support. Our qualified teachers and support staff are trained in attachment and trauma-informed practice, creating a safe and positive learning environment.
We deliver core teaching in Maths and English, complemented by therapeutic and creative activities such as:
- Arts and Crafts
- Sports
- Cooking and Baking
- Board Games
- Computing
Our setting is small and calming, with teaching delivered in groups of up to four students. Each group is supported by both a teacher and a teaching assistant. We provide a low-pressure environment that aims to understand each young person’s individual needs and readiness to learn.
Our staff have extensive experience working with a wide range of SEND and are committed to helping students rebuild self-confidence and reduce anxiety around school and college.
We specialise in creating bespoke learning plans, allowing students to catch up on areas of missed education due to long-term or repeated absence.
Qualifications & Outcomes
Students attending N-able work towards core qualifications each day, which may include:
Functional Skills or GCSEs, depending on their individual goals.
We also offer a selection of ASDAN courses focused on life skills, specifically tailored to students with SEND.
Post-16 Destinations & Careers
By focusing on core subjects, we help learners progress toward their chosen career paths.
Achieving Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications in Maths and English, often the minimum requirement for apprenticeships or college courses, opens up a range of future opportunities.
Through our therapeutic activities, we support students in exploring their interests and discussing potential careers, helping them plan for the future with confidence.
